What does the Norfolk Senior Advisor blog cover?
The blog publishes practical guides for Hampton Roads families -- 13 so far -- on hurricane planning for assisted living, paying for care as a military retiree, reading inspection records, Auxiliary Grant searches, memory care tours and more.
Posts draw on the same primary sources as the rest of the site: VDSS licensing records, CMS provider data, DMAS program rules and the CareScout cost survey. New guides publish regularly and the newest one appears at the bottom of every page.
How are Norfolk Senior Advisor guides researched?
Every figure in a guide is traced to a primary source and dated; regional statistics come from the state and CMS rosters downloaded for this site's directory. We do not publish facility rankings, invented cost averages or a memory care median.
If you spot something out of date, email us and we will correct it. Our about page explains how the service is paid for.
